Ordered the Carmichael 13'' throne & base (hydraulic version) yesterday.
Can't wait to get it. I feel this will be a strategic upgrade. Hydraulic version for me because I still tend to experiment with seat height so that feature is very welcome.
Yesterday I also had a band practice - been co-operating with a female singer and pianist recently (I'm playing the el. bass), and just a few weeks ago a drummer joined us. I mentioned that I'd ordered a Carmichael throne and tried to explain to the drummer what the benefit is and he simply replied: BS. If you do some exercises/stretching your back for 3 minutes every day and don't sit at the throne for more than 2 hours you'll be totally fine and don't need any sophisticated drum throne. I disagreed ;-)
