With such excruciatingly obvious similarities between the languages, It's easier to clarify as such simply because even here in america, there are subtle differences between northern and southern english. I, being from the south, lack any real discernable accent. I do, of course, throw in the occasional, "Ya'll," but I try to keep it professional. ;)
I respect my fellow British for who they are. After all, we Are the rebellious offspring of such a country. That, and Austin Powers were some of my most favorite movies of all time, Haha!
