It's just a bog-standard caek with strawberries and cream, but don't tell anybody.
250g unsalted butter
250g caster sugar
250g self-raising flour
1 tsp vanilla essence
3 tbsps milk
1 smallish pot (150ml?) whipping cream
Beat all the ingredients together, divide between 2 greased sandwich tins, bake for 20-25 mins at 180 degrees. Cut 12 strawberries in half, slice the rest thinly, reserving a few whole ones for decoration. Whip cream, toss in the sliced strawberries, apply to caek, put other caek on top, dust with sifted icing sugar, decorate with remaining strawberries. Stick the halved strawberries around the caek. Eat!
