Worth a try. Sounds like a good combination.

The kit with the Emad on it, I bought used.

Someone had switched out the stock bass batter head for the Emad, cut a 6 inch hole in the resonant head, and swapped out both stock tom heads for Evans Hydraulics.

Then he must have decided they weren't the drums he was looking for.

Depends how much money you want to sink into it. They aren't expensive drums to begin with.

The kit I bought new still has all the stock heads on, and they work good enough for what I use them for.
