I like pork scratchings too :) In fact, I eat all kinds of offal that wouldn't be tolerated much in the US. My favourite of all, & the French absolutely do this the best ------- SNAILS :) I even cook up common garden snails occasionally.
As a child, I used to get a (new) sheer stocking. Make up three different size rings out of willow, & fashion a shrimp net. I'd leave it in a stream all day, then separate out the catch of small brown shrimp. Flash fried & eaten whole, nothing tastes better, & I mean nothing!!!!
