Re: Thanks, but "PLEASE" Don't Touch My Gear

It's not so much that I have a problem letting other drummers play my kit, although I have had to have a talk with some of the heavier hitters, it's mainly the unloading/loading and set-up/teardown...

Re: Thanks, but "PLEASE" Don't Touch My Gear

Yea Bo, that is pretty much the same way I do handle it, and you are exactly right. However, the one place we do play often and are pretty much the house band, there is this one guy who is really...

Thanks, but "PLEASE" Don't Touch My Gear

This is kind of a continuation from another thread. I don't know about most of you but I tend to be very, very anal with my gear and how it is loaded and unloaded. My wife knows only to offer helping...

Re: The urge to strip down (not like that!)

Great topic that everyone can appreciate and learn from. I believe you need to play to the venue and the type/style of music you are playing. I will typically leave a 6-7 piece set up for practicing...

Re: This putting your low rack tom to the left of your high rack tom business (reversed for lefties)

Very sorry, I also mis-read the original post, oh well maybe it inspired some new experiments with kit set-ups, never a bad thing..Time to go deer hunting, have a great day..

Re: This putting your low rack tom to the left of your high rack tom business (reversed for lefties)

Once again at work so this photo is showing an aux snare where I would normally place the 14 x 14 floor tom. As stated I change my set up frequently depending on what style(s) of music will be played...

Re: Recommend me a kit! (criteria)

I will get in touch with him and get back with you. Are you on Facebook, I think I have a few videos with him playing this new kit. I know he also has a website that I have not even checked out yet,...

Re: Recommend me a kit! (criteria)

Glad you remembered to bring this up, I was also curious as to why. I will never go back to bass mounted toms due to the exact same problem, personal preference I guess.

If you are looking into...

Re: Recommend me a kit! (criteria)

I have owned and played just about all the major brands out there. I have had my SONOR S-Classix kit for a little over 6 years now and will never go back to another kit. Great sound, exceptionally...

Re: Ebay seller stole my pic - What would you do?

Go by my philosophy...."It Is What It Is", I personally don't see it as a big deal. You are not loosing any money or business over this. Quite unethical, yes...That being said, they certainly are not...

Re: This putting your low rack tom to the left of your high rack tom business (reversed for lefties)

I was hoping I had a good picture of one of my many set-up options I use but I am at work and the best one is on my other laptop. Anyway, although this picture does not show it I also have a 14"x14"...

Re: Turning The Audience Against A Drunk Patron

I totally agree with watching out for your bandmates and gear, this was a suprisingly quick evolution and in no way would I ever let any harm come to any of my bandmates. I actually went into the...
