Thanks for your input gents. As it stands I am using the Mapex kit for practise at home and the Gretsch kit for rehearsals and (eventually) gigs. I will just have to find another way to finance some...

Yes, I don't have the room for two kits, plus I would hope to sell one of them to finance some better cymbals.

I have the opportunity to buy a nearly new Mapex Horizon HZ kit for 100. I have a Gretsch G Series kit, so I would sell one of them. Which one to sell or rather which one to keep?

Ouch!

I was just laying down a groove the other day when somehow I whacked my left hand with the stick in my right hand!! I've got a nice bruise now. Anyone else do that?
