Re: Diggin' this clean looking Ludwig kit

Definitely a nice throw-back look enhanced (whether good or bad, still deciding) with some tough looking hardware.... Like Bo said, I completely missed any views of the spurs before now.

Re: Sonor Arena vs. Mapex Meridian Maple

I believe either would serve you well. I have played both sets and, to me, the Mapex feels a bit more solid. All things considered ($, config, finish, etc), I personally would go for the Mapex. Also,...

Re: Gretsch Catalina Club vs. Ludwig Cavern Club vs. ?????

The most valuable advice I could offer is: go with the set that checks off the most pros on your list. This includes looks, sound, size/fit, etc. Don't worry about the best deal per se; find the best...

Re: snare or heads and hardware?

Good heads for your kit like oil changes for your car.... keep it running nice and smooth before getting new rims. Besides, its fun to see, touch, smell your shells once in a while, lol.

Re: drum covers lol

You could try adding a click track or an external metronome... Drumless tracks can be great but metronomes ofter help us reel ourselves in a bit.

Re: Sorry but this is just funny...

He should fashion and throw in a drum "stage" to go along with it all....

Andy is certinly right, it is an honest work and if he/she enjoyed it, then nothing else matters.
