Re: If you are not in love with Gretsch Cat Jazz... you will.

I´ve got the WMP as well and I shall not get tired of it. I love that walnut too. By the way, did you notice floor tom leg brackets are not diamond type in the walnut?

Re: New Gretsch Steve Ferrone Sig. Snare

I´m with you. I think Mr. Ferrone is unique. Great grooving with naturalness. "The Great Sound" should be pride of having such endorser. Cheers.

Re: New Gretsch Steve Ferrone Sig. Snare

Ok,Ok. No Ferrone badge but maybe same brass shell. Both snaredrums may sound pretty close (well, Steve´s is fitted with flanged hoops and 8 lugs). New Classic black brass is discontinued now. It was...

Re: New Gretsch Steve Ferrone Sig. Snare

Re: Catalina Jazz´s hoops help!

Thank you, Philippe. With my hoops there is one more problem: if I measure the diameter in one side and if I measure it in another one there is a difference of almost 4 mm!

Re: is there ANYTHING bad about Gretsch Cat Jazz?

I miss some sparkle finishes for this kit ( gold, champagne, bermuda sand, green or tangerine sparkles). Both available, silver and red sparkle, are nice though. Good idea to wrapping natural finish....

Re: Catalina Jazz´s hoops help!

As I see the hoop in batter side is dificult to get centerd with the stock heads, I´ll reverse it as well. Not so hard as with that fiberskin in reso side, although. Thank you so much .

Re: Catalina Jazz´s hoops help!

That is what I think, but it looks like the only way to keep hoop centered against that fiberskin (due to its collar thickness) is with round side...And as the inner side of claws is flat, this adds...

Catalina Jazz´s hoops help!

This is for some advice about Catalina Club Jazz´s bass drum wood hoops and, of course, not only for "cataliners" but for everyone experienced. I got mine´s from 3 months ago and just the other day I...

Re: Why does everyone hate Gretsch Catalina snares?

I´ve read that it ends by losening 1/2 to 1 turn the snare side rods close to strainer & butt (total 4). I didn´t try yet. Catalina Club snare as well.
