Yep. Mike's right. I have standard protection racket bags for all my MCA toms with YESS mounts. They fit true to tom size with plenty of room for the YESS mount.

I received my bass drum plate from Mike ...... Very nice. If you removed your kick mount and want a 'clean-looking' bass drum this is the way to go. Thanks, Mike!

You can try adjusting the reso up or down on each tom to differentiate the note. I have both the MCA 12 and 13; that's what I do with a coated G2 as batter and G1 as reso.

Great post, Ab .... You received some good advice from our Forum. I'll add one more thing: playing live requires some sort of monitor system for the drummer. Either a floor wedge or in-ear monitor...

I played (my MCA's) at a youth group event last Saturday. My kick and toms sounded great from the floor. One of the guitar players (I just met him that night) was really impressed with the Yamaha...

I attended a Christian rock festival this past weekend (Vertical Fest). About a dozen bands played (Pillar, Storyside:B, Building 429, etc.). Guess which kit the entire show featured? Yamaha Maple...
