Re: Remo Pinstripe plastic sound ?

Hey guys ... Thanks for your remarks and suggestions.

My lack of experience and a cheap 5 lug floor tom probably not the best combination.

Will focus more on drumming and worry about tone...

Re: Remo Pinstripe plastic sound ?

Didn't want to spend $180 for a new SC floor tom and I could not find a used one.

The Percussion Plus floor tom has one small air hole about size of a dime.

Hi guys,

I bought a used 16" Percussion Plus floor tom to augment my Stage Customs.

The old batter head was heavily dimpled so I bought a new Remo Pinstripe. Now I'm hearing a distinct...

Re: Yamaha Stage Custom - PARTS

Interesting idea Jim. Good example of thinking outside the box. Did you buy it for parts or to play?

Also, nice job on the purchase. Didn't know GC would negotiate like that.

I didn't know how to inspect drums or hardware at that point.

During my...

Help me control my kick leg ... Please.

Re: Help with Living Loving Maid

Thanks 8 mile! I was trying to kick three times in there.

Twice is much easier for me at this point. I have trouble controlling my leg/foot with those rapid three-kicks.

Ghostnote -- could you explain what you mean by the A and B section?

Okay, I will stop being so picky. Was thinking I had to duplicate every note -- or is it "beat"?

Resurrecting this thread that asks how to play "Living Loving Maid" because I'm also having difficulty figuring it out.

Re: 3 Instructors -- Help me choose.

Thank you for your perspective. That's a great reminder!

Too bad there are no drum clubs where drummers could meet up to share techniques and play together.
