Re: Enjoy the Hammer Bermuda

Only saw the second and third songs. Sounded good though. Was totally impressed with the band. I think Al and jus band get overlooked for the serious musicianship that is displayed because the songs...

One more from last night's show. I was likely the only photographer at the show who shot the drummer almost as much as Weird Al. Which is my habit when photographing concerts. Next week...

Good choices! Both institutions in town. Some cool cafés on King William just down the street. Check out Homegrown Hamilton. Good luck tonight.

Enjoy the Hammer Bermuda

Looks like Bermuda is in my town for the Wierd Al show. Saw the tour buses outside the venue. Don't let the downtown form your impression of Hamilton. Please. Might be assigned to shoot the show...

Re: Grand jury indicts Journey drummer Deen Castronovo on rape, sex abuse allegations

They're coming to my town. Not a huge Journey fan. Thought it would be cool to see Omar live. Cheapest ticket is $150!! Pass.

Re: Bitter Ginger Baker slating Zeppelin and Bonham - again

Great drummer. Bad human being. Lots of bitterness going on there.

Re: Mapex Black Panther Blaster

Have one and love it! Waffled between Saturn IV and Blaster and felt the blaster had a bit more projection. Was a tough decision because the Saturn sounded beautiful, warm, resonant. Blaster gives me...

Are R16 Instructions for Rocket Scientists?

Ok, I am not an idiot but I can't, for the life of me, figure out the R16 instruction manual to do what I want do. I have googled until my fingers bled and no luck. I have a bunch of drumless MP3's...

Re: Basement temp and humidity

Guy I know stores all his gear in a Rubbermaid mini-shed outside all year. We're in southern Ontario where it gets nasty humid in summer and has been -20 Celsius or colder for much of the winter. So...

Re: Adults Learning Drums

I "played" drums for a few years when I was 15. Hated lessons. Hated Stick Control. HATED the practice pad. Just wanted to sit behind a drum kit and play. Didn't understand the need for fundamentals....

Re: Mapex saturn IV or BP black widow kit

I have the Blaster and love it. A bit more punch than the Satun IMO. It was between these two in the store and I just preferred the sound of the Blaster though you can't lose either way. Both great...

Re: Drumset with a +- 2000 € Budget

I just got the Black Panther Blaster set and couldn't be happier. Wanted a 22" kick and two up/two down setup. It was between this and a Saturn IV five piece which was cheaper due to only one floor...

Re: What makes music classic, timeless?

I think there is more to this than just the shape of the music industry. I also think that Baby Boomers are the first generation that held onto their youth more than generations previous. This could...
