Re: Value of a Yamaha Maple Custom Snare?

Nice one! Didn't think about the die cast hoops.

As motleyh said, I was referring to the new Puresound snare wires. Sorry, english isn't my first language and it's been a while since I talked...

Re: Value of a Yamaha Maple Custom Snare?

Thanks for the replies!

300 Euros is great for me since I only payed 500 for the whole set (kick, snare, 5 toms + stands and a few old 2002 Paiste cymbals). Even though I'd like to keep it I just...

Value of a Yamaha Maple Custom Snare?

I got this Yamaha snare when I bought a used Pearl World Series kit. The Pearl drums sounds amazing but the snare just doesn't do it for me. It pops really good but doesn't have the low end I'm...

Re: Royce Pro-Cussion

What's "MIJ"? Alright, that explains the likeliness of the lugs.

Thanks for your reply. I won't buy it after all. If I find it cheaper and within Europa, I might give a try but for 100 bucks... ...

Re: Royce Pro-Cussion

It's that bad? Figured I could get away with it with new heads and good tuning.

Since I don't know what either an 1980's Pearl Export or World Series 8" tom goes for I don't know if this Royce...

Royce Pro-Cussion

Does Royce Pro-Cussion make quality drums? I'm tempted to buy a 8x8" tom on ebay and use it as the final (well...) piece on my 1980's Pearl World Series. As far as I can see the lugs are almost...

Re: 8" tom: Vintage Pearl Export vs. Pearl World Series

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I don't think I have ever seen a picture of a full kit with an 8" tom but I've seen pictures of a separate 8". The only thing I think is not the same, part from the...

8" tom: Vintage Pearl Export vs. Pearl World Series

How rare is a red 8" Pearl Export/World Series tom from the 80's? How much is a fair price?

I'm asking because I want to add the final piece (okey, after an 18" floor tom and an extra kick..) to...

Re: Re-wrapping old Pearl Export

Thanks for all the help guys.

The pearl export del fell through but luckily I found a much better deal on a Pearl World Series kit. Red in sizes 10", 12", 13", 14, 16", 22" + a Stage Custom...

Is it just me or are these two kits not the exact same model? Even though they both are Pearl Export.

Re: Re-wrapping old Pearl Export

I don't know if I dare to use a blow drier. One crease and you're screwed. I guess it all depends on how well the glue has... aged...

Re: Re-wrapping old Pearl Export

Good news! I have talked with the guy selling the 8" tom. He is actually selling it with a complete kit and was hesitent about selling it separate. But he was going to think about it. So lets hope...

Re-wrapping old Pearl Export

Is the Pearl logo on Pearl Export-kits attached with glue or is it screwed on? I ask because I'm toying with the idea about buying a red 8" tom separate from a black full kit (22, 10, 12, 14, 14). If...

Thanks for all the replies, they really helped me decide what to do. I ended up not getting them. Seemed to be to much work for to little gain. The drums weren't in their prime plus the heads where...

Re: Is this a 80's Tama Swingstar?

Alright, thanks for the info.

Can we assume that the prices on regular superstar drums to drop much when the silverstar line has officially replaced the superstars and can be found in stores?
