Re: SNARE TUNING

Re: Gavin Harrison here!

Hey Gavin,

Thanks so much for taking the time to pop here and our questions. We really appreciate it!

My question is regarding your drumming on Black Dahlia. Your grooves on that song are just...

Re: Blake Richardson

That's one sick ass solo alright. All i can say is that there's no way in hell that the cowbell during the solo isn't overdubbed.

I'm studying for finals right now, but i'll see if i can...

Re: Gavin Harrison here!

Hi Gavin,

I've been practicing with a metronome for a couple years and i had this thought the other day: Is it possible that by practicing with a metronome, you can develop a metronome-dependence?...

Re: Gavin Harrison here!

Guess i was wrong! The worst part is that i listen to it watching the transcription, and still it doesn't sound like that to me. Not to question Terry's abilities. Guess i must train my ear a bit...

Re: Gavin Harrison here!

Hi Kalma,

the fill that you're asking about is a pattern that Gavin uses somewhat often when playing drums. It can be heard in the drum break in "The Creator Has A Mastertape" and also the...

Re: Gavin Harrison here!

If i loosen the snares, i do get more response, but there's no stick definition or articulation..... intrincate patterns don't get through, and there's a lot of annoying snare buzz produced by...
