Re: 20" Bass Drum Dampening? (New Catalina Club)

Thanks man....can't wait to get this new kit and try out the 20" bass drum. Your advice seems to parallel what many others are saying, especially the PS3/Ambassador recommendation.

Cheers

Thanks porter...I've got a felt beater and prefer this beater type anyway. To me it always seems to make the bass sound a little fatter.

I may swap out the batter with an Ambassador anyway. Some...

20" Bass Drum Dampening? (New Catalina Club)

Hey There

Here is a question for you 20" bass drum users. To date I have only played the 22" and 24" sizes.

Re: Color Matching - Sonor Force 3007 & Session Series

I appreciate your feeback. I checked the provider's website and as I suspected they don't appear to offer wraps with a stain finish. I've always noted that other providers seem to only offer solids...

Color Matching - Sonor Force 3007 & Session Series

I've got a "Red Maple", Sonor Force 3007 kit which I really want to keep; however, I am in need of two additional drums...a 14x14" floor tom and an 18" or 20" bass drum. Sonor no longer makes these...

Re: DVD For Learning Jazz Drumming (Suggestions)?

Thanks Dave; however, as indicated in the title and decription, I am looking for some suggestions with regards to the DVD format (as opposed to the printed medium).

Cheers

DVD For Learning Jazz Drumming (Suggestions)?

I have "The Master Drummer" (J Riley) on DVD, and while it is a great DVD, I find myself looking to see if I can find at least one more good DVD which aims to teach Jazz drumming "fundamentals" (ex:....

Re: Thomas Pridgen

I am wondering if anyone knows what Zildjian cymbal (or cymbal combo) Pridgen is using in the MD 2008 DVD? It's in the traditional ride position and looks to be two cymbals stacked together. The...
