Re: Zambizzi kit's
There has been a ply and streambent How It's Made. I'm not sure about Stave, Unix would be the prime example of how to make amazing stave kits!

Re: 15" Floor tom and 23" Bass drum.
Yeah I play a 15" floor. It's cool just like a 16" but little more focused. Nothing that will change your life it's the same as any drums with a 1" diff in size but I like it!

Re: New badges and finishes from dw.
If I can picture this right in my head it would be good for kits that are set up both left and right handed? Always a badge facing the front? I'm not sure lol!
Either way the White wrap looks...

Re: Vaughncraft maple snare
You did a great job with the finish man! Looks really high end. Those lugs are really unique looking too. I like them. How are you enjoying the sound of a solid shell then?

Re: Loudest snare drum ever?
I know it's not the loudest ever but I gigged a couple of times with a guy who had a Yamaha Oak Custom snare. With a good rimshot it actually hurt!

Re: Can a bottom snare head be tuned? . . .
I Just turn the 4 lugs around the bed higher. They are the same pitch as the other lugs but I turn them more to get em up to the same level as the ones away from the bed.

Re: Cherry stave kit
The first finish was nice but I agree that looks much better. Bit more cherryness to it. You have a very admirable perfectionist quality about yourself and your drums Unix.

Re: Black Panther snare help
Yeah Black Panthers are really quality snares. All of them. Steel is bright and loud so would work really well for your metal playing. It should be versatile and sensitive. Personally I'd go for the...

Thats really sad and unexpected news. Johan was hugely talented both in his art of making incredible cymbals and also as a drummer.
Here is a video of his playing he posted some time back. Not...

Yeah strange that a lot of the best drummers play or have played yellow kits but you don't see many for sale. John Stanier from Battles (and many others) has pretty much sold me on getting my next...

Looks good! Will they be your standard lugs now or an optional extra? Hope to see a pic of them fitted on a shell soon.

Re: Playing on reversed rack toms.
I do it sometimes just because I use my 12" more than my 10" so its easier having the 12" infront of me and the 10" to the right a little.

Re: VLT Snare
The way the wood grain runs on the shell (from top to bottom rather then around the drum from left to right) give the drum a lower fundamental note and a fatter more resonant sound. It's true too the...
