Re: D'Angelo - Black Messiah

Honestly, and being a long time D'Angelo fan, I didn't manage to connect with the album yet. My biggest grip is the mix. Everything sounds so muddy and hard to distinguish. Most of the times one...

Re: Playing 15 years, terrible stick control

After 16 years of playing I had to restart from scratch to fix my technique. Actually, all students of Murray Spivack had to do the same, such as David Garibaldi.

Re: Now a morning drummer

Even when working on my chops, I find that doing it in the morning works way better than when I arrive from work. Naturally one has more energy in the morning and is not tired from a day of work

Re: LDS - Superb drums & rhythm tap - video.

I have to be honest here: I think the idea conceptually is great to mix both, but the composition of the songs are in my opinion a bit lacking. It's too much drum oriented and not so much groove in...

Hi guys,

I'm relocating to London in January and I need to find a place to practice drums. Essentially this will mean 2/3h a day in a drum booth, but I'm having a hard time finding a booth to...

Re: leaving the kick beater on the bass head?

It depends which sound you want to achieve, although for most cases I don't bury the beater in the head since it chokes the sound too much, it is harder to do, but once you get the hang of it becomes...

Re: Ok, do your worst ;)

That is actually quite cool Andy and I also think it's good to show these type of licks in the Beatloaf series, so tap on the back, good job :)
