By attempting go get through the ritual I found a rudiment I really need to work on. It's the alternating paradiddle-diddle starting with a ruff. I was in a pretty good flow until I got to that one....

When I was 14 I was trying to figure out how to play a beat like Charlie Watts, so I guess that puts you ahead of me when I was your age, at playing Thomas Lang exercises any way.

That guy really does Weckl great. What an awful tune though. Don't drummers ever listen to anything but drums? I'm convinced that Weckl will never play on a recording of lasting value.

Thinking about it, I don't believe it went down the way Purdie claims it did.

I'm wondering how they could have done the overdubs with no bleed from the original tracks. I really don't know that...
