Re: What sticking do you use?

Assuming just hands there are 2^11 or 2048 possible hand patterns.

Here are all 2048:

('L', 'L', 'L', 'L', 'L', 'L', 'L', 'L', 'L', 'L', 'L')
('L', 'L', 'L', 'L', 'L', 'L', 'L', 'L', 'L',...

Re: What are the stories behind famous drummers kits?

How many RPMs could you withstand from a spinning drum riser and still be able to play?

I've only seen Lars have a spinning riser and I don't think it was going too fast.

What is the most unintelligible instruction given to you by a music director?

Has a leader said things to you like, 'Make boom boom' and nothing else?

"Hit the flat thing?"

"What is that drum called sitting between your legs?"

Re: Our dance band was hired as background music

That's a little rude...

I bet 90% of the time they just don't want to get in the way of you playing music.

Re: Our dance band was hired as background music

Never understood musicians who disliked the vibe of people not dancing.

maybe it is because all my gigs are concert band, jazz band, and church.
