Hey Smatch thanks for chiming in! Yeah I will be using it primarily for recording in the studio and think that the vintage will serve this well!

Yeah.. Beech has a very balanced sound indeed and that's why I'm very interested in this wood. Thanks for the info guys. Really appreciate it.

Actually I'm considering the SQ2 with Vintage Beech shells and was just curious of the sound of beech compared to the more popular woods like maple and birch. I can't test beech drums where I live...

I was wondering if you guys/gals can tell me which wood and its characteristics/sound shape is the closest to german beech shell which Sonor uses for its SQ2 line?

What you can also do.. is buy both and focus on a genre like Rock and study from both starting withe the first book.. then go to the next genre... you get from both worlds..

Timbre notes on my DW's..

Hi fellow drummers.. im a bit confused about the timbre notes on my DW toms..

These are the notes:

8x10 --> A
11x14 --> Bb
13x16 --> B

Is it not suppose to be vice versa.. meaning the...

STM vs Legs

Whats up my fellow drummers. Im almost done with my custom DW drums. I had one more question regarding the floor toms.

I'm getting 11x14 and 13x16 floor toms. I have no clue if I must choose legs...
