Yes that book certainly is a challenge! I know its cliche but the only advice i could give is to really slow it down and practice a lot,to get it into your muscle memory. I struggled alot with it...

Im about the same,i can do bursts of higher speeds but cannot play for long periods cleanly above 180 yet,same for my feet :s practice makes perfect though i guess :)

For the gravity blast you want to make sure the stick is parallel with the angle of your snare drum so you dont get this click noise. However i still find it hard to get any real volume from this...

I have this problem too and i went with the cymbal to stand idea. What i did was take the tom holder out of the bass drum,get a clamp and attach the toms to one cymbal stand that also holds a crash....

Im guessing your doing the fake twirl,but there are many many more tricks you can do and the videos to show them if you look. I use the real twirl a lot more as i find it easier to incorporate it...

Well firstly practicing your rudiments daily will help (with a metrnonome). The g.l.stone book is talked about a lot on this forum,and if you work for it it will really help (again with a metronome)....

I also can do triplets faster,an i believe it is due to a natural moeller technique instinct, as your alternating down an upstrokes. But with 4 you have to do two downbeats together or two upbeats so...
