For that I just used fruity loops with a hi-hat track and tweaked it until it matched the rhythm for as long as possible. Its not an exact measurement by any means, just a close approximation. ...

You don't have any good db songs around 150-170 bpm while you're at it do you : ) ?

I tried Slayer's Angel of Death and it was a complete fail, now I realize why... 210 bpm...

I used a drum dial for about 2 years and I'm just realizing that I can get a better sound by ear. I built mine myself, its pretty easy to do. They are just dial indicators (used for machining)...
