thanks guy's! I've taken the advice and I've gotten a little closer to something that sounds decent, but it still needs some fine tuning. i guess i just really need to focus on what to listen for....

When it comes to tuning and matching the tone/pitch of each lug, what tones are you supposed to be looking for? when i hit it about an inch or two away from the lug, theres tons of different tones,...

oh definetely, i didn't really think about writting that down. i jam to my own ideas all the time, i just forgot to include that in the jamming to songs section at the end.

the only thing imprinted on the snare is the slipknot S logo. look up pictures of it on the pearl website. i doubt that would be considered satanic, but some people in church could find it offending.

ill have to disagree, portnoy uses his whole kit most of the time. he wouldn't be able to do as much on a smaller kit. ill have to agree though, he does seem to use that 2x hand 2x feet...
