No one around my place stocks them so I can't play them...

DW seems to have a larger group of endorsees that are 'older' say bands that formed mid 90s to 2000.

Newer bands seem like they're all over the place.

I will say I see more DW endorsements than...

PDP LX price?

What're some opinions on what my asking price should be for a 5 piece set of PDP LX (2004)?

These were the best PDPs you could get at the time:
All maple shells
Red stain
Perfect condition

Re: Snare Head Question

Metal snare drum = Evans Genera
Wood snare = Evans reverse dot

Avoid the Genera Dry HD, it sucks too much life from the drum and it won't cut nearly as well.

I haven't heard any of those drums in person sadly....

From what I've read/heard, ddrum has some of the best tone/features for the price. I have also not heard anything bad about the sonor 3007s....

Re: What to practice without drums

Drumsticks+ Chair + table + 2 phonebooks. 1 book to be your hi-hat ; 1 book to be your snare

Tap your foot on an imaginary pedal.

You're in college...you can't have much money.

Re: How far do you sit away from your bass drum?

Most comfortable for me, and my knees:

Thighs parallel to the floor.
Shins perpendicular.
Knee making 90 degree angle.

Re: Homemade Bass Practice Pad???

I 100% agree.

You'll never find a practice pad as good at the real thing.
Don't bother making a practice pad...just suck it up and drop $59.99 on one. I have the one made by Gibraltar and it's...

Re: Tama Rockstar Snare - Spray it: Yes or No?

Seriously? Why would you spray-paint a chrome job? It'll look like shit.

Medium grit steel wool will take the rust right off, the chrome underneath is fine.
