You may regret selling the RC's, think long and hard about trying to replace them in the future ! Their value will only go one way now production stopped.

Well I am a little different, for recording I always seem to end up using my Ludwig LM2000B 14x6.5 Brass Millenium, but do not gig it, just too precious to me, so gigs are covered by a Black Beauty...

Dave Neal, Suzi Quatro drummer back in the day, still gigs an identical model setup, Hagi offered to send him drums to assist with R&D during a US tour way back in the 70's, he is a valuable source...

It is good to know that a picture I took of my drum dating scrap of paper, which is stuck to my studio wall with gaffa tape is still the drum worlds chosen reference guide for dating 9000's lol...

Yamaha are the 'Masters of Sparkle' - all the high end lines are Lacquer Sparkle - no wraps - this is why they can paint the whole of the bassdrum hoops, DW sparkles are 99.9% wrap, it is far cheaper...

If I am carrying and loading I take the absolute minimum, unless the gig is 'important' and we have decent setup/breakdown conditions/time, then the same as studio kit, which for me is 5 or 6 piece...

Everyone will have their own opinion, but for me 16" as a floor, I have a three leg 16x16 and a 16x14 YESS and they ( particularly the mounted 16x14 ) are traditional and right for the job !

Yup, long wait, I ordered a BCAN 10" in FEBRUARY this year ( soon to be February last year... ) and still no drum. The issues they have had with the Tsunami mean that I really do not mind the wait at...
