Learn to breathe deep while you play. At first it will feel awkward, but it will help alleviate tension and nervousness.

SO...I feel a bit foolish coming to this realization after being a drummer for nearly 28 yrs. David Garibaldi talks about it, drum corps. practice this..and it has been mentioned to me my whole life...

Well, it was two fold - there's a group of friends the percussionist and singer bring, an all Brazilian/Portuguese crowd that loved it. Then there were people there who went to see the opening act...
