I don't get why resale value is abysmal.

Too bad I compromised on...

Re: Maybe I'm done compensating for my height ;)

Pearl masters maple gum, 20-12-14-16

Plus, you'll actually have something to look forward to as they are not yet available, so none of that instant gratification nonsense.

Re: Are DW drums still cool?

With that in mind, any mid-range kit in standard sizes with a nice selection of heads, a good snare, great cymbals and functional hw should get you through anything.

I was trying out alpine skis...

Re: Should I?

If your real concern was weight, I would say go for a stage custom bop, a C&C or some club dates.

So my head says Nay but my eyes go for a thunderous Yay !

You can now bring the ocean with you...

Re: What I discovered at NAMM today...

Those ayotte maple snare drums are, to this day and if my memory is not playing tricks on me, the sweetest I have ever played.

When I was younger and strapped for cash, I would go to the drum shop...

Re: Namm 2019 rumors

Happy for you, I know you love your LC's and the new oak hybrids seem like they will be priced in the same range as the maple hybrids.

So that would make the tour customs yamaha's only mid-range...

Re: Sonor vintage vs Gretsch Brooklyn vs Yamaha Hybrid maple

My Yamaha Hybrids are fairly light :

- Lighter than their Live Custom counterpart, RCs, Gretsch Usa and Pearl
Masters (all similar sizes) and almost any Tama I ever picked up;

- On par...

Re: The magic of a simple kit

Thanks for pointing that out ! I saw Rush live a good couple of times, but never bothered with his basic setup. You clearly see it on every bird's eye view of his kit.

Differences in character are a little perceptible, but with this sole recording I could not justify the price difference.

Re: YOUR BETTER AT BECAUSE OF DRUMS

Re: Mike Terrana

Mike Terrana is one of the guys most drummers make fun of.
