Re: Cat Club Jazz.

I found that all the factory tension rods on the snare were really difficult to turn once the tension got higher and had kind of a grindy feeling to them and they seemed to stop shorter than where...

Re: Sonor Force 2007 Studio-1

I own both of the kits you are thinking of.

I don't care what anyone says about the Sonor 2007's, they are far from being "advanced-beginner/intermediate" drums. These are a players kit - you...

Re: Fired From My Band Yesterday

Bands are strange mix of musicianship and personalities and these 2 parts aren't always in equal measure or carry equal weight. Don't sweat it - if you can play I am sure other bands/players have...

Re: Help to ID Yamaha Kit

I just got back from seeing them. The guy knows absolutely nothing about drums but is convinced that the major cracks/missing pieces in the wrap don't diminish their value and that the 30 year old...

Help to ID Yamaha Kit

Can anyone tell what type of kit this is? This guy has them for sale for $250 (CDN); I was thinking of offering him $100 or so. I am looking for a re-wrap project. He says he has had them for about...

Snare tuning: reggae sound

Can anyone give me some tips on how to get that 1/2 timbale, 1/2 snare sound you always hear on reggae albums? I have been experimenting with head tension and snare tension at the throw-ff, but I'm...

5 out of 5

I spent years listening to rock drummers who are masters of applying rudiments to drumset and rock drumming, but I...

Re: Phil Maturano here!

Hey Phil!

I was looking for cascara/songo ideas and I came across clips from your video on YouTube. When I saw the 6/8 - 4/4 formula and demo it was like a light bulb turned on and what I had...

Re: Derrick Pope: Moeller - One Handed Roll - Heel Toe - DrumSet

Maple vs. Birch advice

Hi everyone.

I am getting back into playing after a hiatus of a few years and I am not sure what would make for a good investment for a new kit. I am looking for something mid-range; not...
