I Have ordered a set, blond, 13/16/18/26.
It's going to be my 'Bonham' kit. It's not the real thing, but I like the way the PDPs look as well as the price.
I might play around with some of that...

There is some volume reduction. Certainly also on the hat and cymbals.
Better players could achieve the same with sticks, but the physical aspect of hitting a drum with some force is important to...

Thats what I do. Rim shots and duct tape at the rim shot spot.
Change the tape every other gig or do.

My regular gig is played with hot rods. I tune my snare medium to low and rimshot. Put some duct tape on the hot rods at the rim sound place. Otherwise they don't last long.

Things that I like or do:

- Look at the big picture, does the band work? Did I enjoy listening to them?

- Talk to the drummer, unless he is busy, and give him credit for something I liked.
