My pick would be Prairie Prince: most people don't even know who is, or they think his band
the 'Tubes' is a knock off of Kiss which is way off base or just "White Punks on Dope"

Thanks again for your input, I agree, tuning is the way to go more than effects or EQ and what not.
I'm experimenting with muting and working towards a happy medium.

Hello All:

I'm just getting into recording : I've actually managed to get great sound with my equipment.
I'm recording with a Roland VS2480-DVD with Shure PG56 mics on all my drums and 2 ea....

Hi Sumwatt, I have a 5 piece kit, Classic Ludwig Maple, I have all my drums mic'd with the Shure SM PG56's : bass is mic'd on a boom stand about 2" inches from center (hole in middle of head) pillow...

Hello fellow drummers:
I'm a beginning recordist and I'm having trouble with my snares rattling over my bass kicks.
Can anybody suggest a solution to this.
