Most of the time I use the classic felt beater however, recently I've found that due to the patches I've been...

Hot for teacher by Van Halen. Always a crowd pleaser and we'll usually have a guest singer come up and sing it!

It's quite fun to play!

Re: Do you use a cowbell?

Hahahahahah.

I do have a cowbell, but I mostly use it for counting in songs. The bandmates don't respond to a hi-hat count in anymore actually. It's fun to occasionally have a fill played...

Re: DRUMMERWORLD DRUM SOLO SHOWDOWN

Speaking of which, I was surprised Tony wasn't in the montage!

Anyone else think it'd be cool for the forum members to put together a video like this? we all do like a 15 sec solo and have...

Re: Time for a new stick size?

Haha I use the Thomas Lang sticks.... They work wonders! I've never had any problem with dynamics, or breaking equipment since switching over to them. However, when I do feel like using something...

Re: Cappuccino test on Monday :)

I particularly love the coated G1's !

Andy, that little kit sound STELLAR. I have half a mind right now to start selling some of my extra equipment to get me some cappuccino. Although, maybe I'd...

Re: Question on C&C drums

Beautifully put Andy.

Couldn't agree more with what was said here. If you're looking for something that will project in a hardcore band (especially if you're not all mic'd up) I'd look at the...

Can't wait to see the results! You've got quite the little kit on your hands. ;)

While I wait, I'm gonna go browse through all the pics in the Cappuccino thread.

Re: Sonor Gavin Harrison Protean Signature Snare Drum

Me too! I like how close I can get can my pedals. My hats no longer feel like they're in another time zone.

To echo everyone, what a beautifully thought out piece of equipment.

are you sure it's not just one cymbal of the set? I know certain websites do that.

Also isn't every pair of hihats reversible?

Re: Sonor Gavin Harrison Protean Signature Snare Drum

Yet another reason I need to get my hands on a guru snare! I imagine most custom drum companies would do that sort of thing (not to downplay what you guys do Andy), I just think that not too many...

Re: Sonor Gavin Harrison Protean Signature Snare Drum

Wow, how many of us have the white Sparkle not-signature drum? ;)

I think the price point will be the nail in the coffin for most people sadly. However that "hybrid bearing edge" is a really neat...

Re: Poll: What is your genre and bass drum size?

Two entries from me I suppose...

Prog - 22"

Alt. - 18"

Andy, I've always toyed with the idea of a 21" BD shell. It might be interesting to do the whole gong-tom thing with the over sized...

Re: Honest input please

I dunno how much attention you've given to tuning the bottom heads, but I'd make sure those are matched or a little bit higher than the top heads. This will help tons, especially with the floor toms....

Re: There are >50 dead flies in my 16" floor tom

That's nasty! Do the dead ones have enough weight to buzz around like snares in the bottom? Might be cool a cool effect.....

But seriously, we need pics! :D

EDIT: Also, apparently...

Re: Exclusive! Origin Classic range - first view of "Cappuccino" :).

Dammit Andy, a few more of these and I'm gonna have to fly over there and bang on a few of these myself. Gorgeous finish, but does it come in a wrap with flaming skulls on it?
