Re: Advice re selling...

As others have said ..... too much story. Also, what stuff cost you
..... leave it out. If you're in a hurry to sell, sell the drums as a shell pack. Potential buyers might really dig the...

Re: Gigging with a Ludwig Accent?

As long as the kit's in good repair ..... use it. Drums rarely fail.
Heads break, hardware breaks, sure. Keep on top of that, you should be good to go.

Re: Very cool looping performance

What you need then, is something like the Electro Harmonix 45000 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHuUJdEEBLg
A lot of the current loopers use Memory Cards, so yes, they have a lot of storage...

Re: Very cool looping performance

You mentioned adding another part of a song, or chorus .....
so I was under the impression that you wouldn't want the 1st part to play with/over the second. Most verses are different than the...

Re: Very cool looping performance

You just need to pick a looper that will do that.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rm040Qh_FpU There are so many different loopers out there, now.
I own three. A Electro-Harmonix 16 Sec....

Re: Question for Ludwig players

You have two very different Ludwig shells. Your toms are the classic 3 ply with reinforcement ring. Your bass drum is a 6 ply straight shell. I've owned both. The 3 ply shell is replicated in the...

Re: Gretsch round badge

I have a Round Badge, in 20, 13, 16. I think they called it the Name Band outfit. Wonderful drums, but then a Round Badge kit is what I really desired. That, and my Luddie 3 ply's, are the two...

Re: advise with advice

First, think of what you want to attain, tone wise. If you're looking for a warm vintage sound ..... that puts you in the "coated" head column. If you want a bright, more modern sound ..... "clear"...

Re: Heel Spurs/Plantar Fasciitis?

I just had a run in with Plantar Fasciitis. Changed out my daily wear shoes to Fila's. Put some Dr. Shoals Plantar Fasciitis inserts into my work boots. Stopped wearing all my cheap shoes. Took...

Re: Pros and Cons of rack mount vs. snare stand mounted tom

I currently hang my tom off a cymbal stand, using a RIMS with a Yamaha tom mount installed. Bass drum is virgin. I find a snare stand chokes the Luddie 3 ply shells a little too much for my liking. ...

Re: Calling All Rogers Experts

Tom mount is correct Rogers Memri-Loc, as is bass drum center tom mount. Straight shells would be Rorgers XP-8 shells. The first all maple drum shell to come out. Certainly worth $200. Heck, you...

Re: Convince me not to buy a Saturn V...

If the sizes aren't right for you, keep searching. Saturns are really good drums, but they're not the only girl at the dance. Especially if you're looking on eBay (buying used).
