Re: Joey Jordison

Just because a band is big doesnt mean the musicians are talented. Look at the Rolling Stones, they have been around for 40 years and still suck at playing their instruments. They are popular because...

Re: Lars Ulrich

If you read my post fully you would see I was quoting someone that said he didnt like Lars due to his objection of Napster. I actually believe Lars did the right thing sueing Napster. Also if you go...

Re: tell me who is the best metal drummer!

If you think that Tool doesnt play hard stuff, you have never tried to play along with any of it.

Re: Lars Ulrich

Lars is a bad drummer now. Even back in the day he wasnt a really good drummer anyways. There were alot of bands playing double bass back in the 80's, and played it better than Lars. Lars plays very...

Re: moeller technique on Blast-Beats

Yes, it is really easy. Blast beats are just straight singles split up over 2 sound sources, use the moeller just like you would otherwise.

Re: Martin Lopez

Martin Lopez wasnt there because he was having panic attacks and couldnt go on tour. Martin is now out of the band officially and has been replaced by Axe their touring drummer as a permanent member.

Re: Fastest Double Bass Player?

There is only one Derek Roddy that I know of. My post was in reference to MattSmith's post of how Derek has been posting on both his forums and Virgil's forums about how he and other people should...

Re: Fastest Double Bass Player?

No, he uses flatfoot. Tim Waterson plays heel-toe.

Re: Fastest Double Bass Player?

Ah the arrogance in this thread. But anyway mattsmith makes a great post, the guy he is talking about (if I get the right impression) is Derek Roddy, he is blazingly fast but is more concerned about...

Re: Lars Ulrich

Hetfield did hurt his voice on the black album tour.

The excuse "they're not really metal any more" doesnt cover the fact he cant play their old songs. Thats is really just a horrible excuse.

Re: Jason Bittner

And he, I believe has only played with them on 2 releases.

Alot of people are comparing him to Chris Alder, but I think if you look at both Bittner and Alder, Bittner is a better drummer IMHO....

Re: Fastest Double Bass Player?

For someone to be able to play 16th notes at 300bpm the ankle or leg( whichever the player uses) would have to change direction something like .0175 seconds. I believe that is the correct number,...

Re: Fastest Double Bass Player?

The fastest record for double bass is Tim Waterson, I'm not sure of the exact number but it was very high, around 255-265bpm. The bpm thing people are talking about, what it is that alot of people...

Re: tell me who is the best metal drummer!

Now this is my kind of thread. It goes without saying there is no "best drummer" of metal or any genre. However that said I do have my personal favorites.

Derek Roddy, One of the most skilled...

Re: Joey Jordison

Actually, Flo has alot of technical ability. But you make a good point that Joey is very underrated drummer because people know he is in Slipknot. I do find alot of Slipknot's drumming repetitive,...

Re: John Bonham

John Bonham, great drummer from the past and a huge influence on many. He started the path for many current and future drummers to follow and achieve greater heights. Instead of gloating over Bonham...

Re: Joey Jordison

I think Flo might be able to beat Joey however I dont think Chris Adler could. Joey is much more diverse than Chris Adler is. If you listen to anything that Chris Adler has done you can hear that...
