Bass drum hoops?

I just changed the hoops on my kick,
22"Birch Starclassic..
The wood hoops were cracked and making my peddle slip.
Anyway,i put some Truetone hoops on it from a 22"swingstar
Looks good,sounds...

need some input!!

I play a nice set of hhx evo hi hats on a dw 5000 stand
The problem im having is that the hats wont stay flush in the closed position.
Hence,the bottom hat,which is quite a bit heavier,sticks out...
