I Guess it depends on the style of each drummer and genres they're into. Me for example, angle the toms similar kollias's set up (although I have a very small set up).

I Do enjoy flattening toms...

I Think positioning the drum kit would be a lot easier if you had a double bass set-up. There's no easier reach to the tom's than having them right in front of you (at the center of two bass drums)....

YES! I've checked it out a couple of times. One of them who sting like a serpent, killer drumming indeed! Learned a lot off that tutorial..
