Re: Drumming dreams

I've had consistent bad dreams about drum set ups. For example, every bad dream about drums I've had, was centered around an uncomfortable kit. It was either spaced to far, had cheap hardware, or the...

Hey dude, I just looked at the video. That is the exact same type of groove I'm currently obsessed with right now. I can pull it off no problem but the journey getting there was hard. Like you I had...

Re: Drum spacing issues.

The cymbal bracket looks funny! You have the tube going in Top-down. Try putting it in bottom- up. That could be the source of your problem on top of sitting low.

Re: How tense are you when you play?

My mind blanks right before the set and I forget how to start the song. I have video proof of me asking "How does it go again?" every two songs or so. It's become a running joke with the crowd, where...

Re: Curious observation FWIW

I see, well on mine its a clear G2 over G1 on both the x7 and Concepts. Though in all honesty I don't use both my 16 floor toms, so go figure.

Do you have any audio or raw recordings of your kit?...

Re: Curious observation FWIW

Very interesting. I have both the X7 in Poplar and Concept maple kits. I lean towards the X7 more. To me the Poplar is punchy, bright, and cutting. The 14 inch floor tom is killer! The concept maple...

Re: Can you feel this?

Seems like you have reached master level of feel. I don't know what to tell you man. This is something beyond space/time. It resides in some land of pure intuition, groove, feel, funk, nastiness. You...

Re: I believe!!!

Right on man. I actually briefly compared it to a tama starclassic steel right next to it. I preferred the Supralite, it had a little bit more throatiness. Not too much ring as well. I go for that...

Re: What is your drum setup pet peeve?

I cant stand setups that have toms snares and cymbals spaced 2 miles apart. Also cymbals that stand 20 feet high.

Re: Rock and roll....over?

As a young adult I can see both sides to the coin. My first experience with music was the late 90's rap and hip hop. Once 200's came along, its been all rock for me. While I do respect the oldies,...
