Re: Rogers Dynasonic Custom Built Snare 10 Lugs

You didn't say it was a WOODEN Dyna.

$1450 is more like it, maybe more if you clean it up before selling.

Re: New Drums Need Info/Help! Vintage Rogers Kit

That's a 1974 Londoner V kit, Koa wrap.
As you've discovered, the tom mounts have been replaced. Looks like new holes were drilled to do that which is a shame.
70's Dynas will be COB, wood shells...

Re: Rogers Big R, why the hate??

The rack tom is an older Swivo-matic / script badge drum, so it didn't come with the other 2. It likely has a paper tag inside with 9/72 on it. It's missing the collet that clamps it onto a hex rod....

Re: Completed my Big R Rogers kit!

Bo -
It's not "finished" until you get rid of that Ludwig strainer! :-)

There are plenty of Rogers strainers out there. Hopefully the previous owner didn't drill new holes for it.

Re: XLR Signal Loss Question

You might have a cold solder joint in one or more of your connections which is common for inexperienced solderers.

Re: When did Rogers do this?

Short answer = never.
Yamaha did it after Rogers went belly up and they ended up with the name.
If it's a "big R" drum and doesn't say U.S.A. on the badge, keep looking.

Re: Upgrading Swivomatic Spurs Help

Are you using rubber tips on the spurs, or the pointed end of the rod itself?
If you still have the rubber tips, take them off.
Extend the spurs so that it lifts the BD off the floor a 1/2" or so....

Re: Metal vs Fabric pop filters?

You can make your own windscreens using an embroidery hoop from any craft store for about a $1. Stretch some stocking material, screen, etc over the inside hoop and you're good to go.

Re: Td3 Hihat , how to simulate closed hihat sound, without pedal

I've read that you can do this by connecting a foot switch (like for a guitar amp) in place of the pedal. You can also connect a Y-cable to the footswitch with one side going to the pedal and the...

Re: Rogers r360 vintage

R360 is definitely not from '67.
They came out as a lower-cost Rogers in the early 80's, I know they are in the 83 catalog - they came in a black finish.
There's also a R380 series that are shown...

Re: Dating Rogers Drums

Beautiful set(s)!

The 9/72 on the tag was used for several years, so it doesn't mean anything.
The Bxxxxx # indicates it's from 1974.

I think the tags only said Dayton on them from like 67-69...
