I have to make one addition to my list.

Mark Brzezicki's playing on "the sailor" by big country is absolutely astonishing. its one of those drum lines you have to listen to carefully to catch...

they are a clever band, i'm not denying the skill they have (except for matt bellamy's dreadful whining) and i know how popular they are.

yeah sunburn is perhaps one of their cleverest songs....

i haven't read tho whole thread, but did dave grohl drum on the first foo fighters album? i got it yesterday ( i now have all their albums :-D) and its fantastic.

yeah assasain has good drumming. he's a good, solid, skilled rock drummer.

however, i don't like muse. boring riffs and whiney vocals make it a chore to listen to (IMO)

I always protect my ears when i play at home. i wear huge red ear defenders that are used by people in industry and they block the sound out very well

and when i took a few lessons, my teacher thought i'd already been having lessons....

its mind bogglingly good and Larkin's drumming is phenomenal. it really is, a new greatest moment for him would have to be the chorus for "Temptation"...

since starting to attempt the moeller technique after that excellent video i've felt a definite improvement. this boosted my confidence and i'm playing better all round now.

playing quite quickly...
