Hey thanks for the replies, it is reassuring to say the least.

I think I need to work on relaxation as Dr says.

The fills are not always in perfect time i suppose is a large issue.

I keep a standard set up, but try to play open handed with the hi hat primarily, but i still keep my ride on the right side.

I have a problem with "handedness" and i try to be as fair to both...

Hey, I own a kit manufactured by Obelisk drums. I know very little about these drums, other than that Obelisk is a Canadian company in Calgary, and the shells are made by Keller.

Hmm well im doing all of those things, i think i need to muffle the drum more, to have the head accept the beater without rebounding as much. But sacrificing tone. dang.

Sorry thats not me! Thats just the bass drum sound i want! And feel too, i can see hes just leaving the beater in the head. not letting the beater rebound at all.
