I have a 10 year and we tooklessons from when he was 5 until 8 and he is killer on the kit. Personally, I think if your son is taking a lesson and playing 30 minutes a day I would leave well enough...

Thanks Grunt- seen a couple books like that and looks like I might have to buy 3 or 4 to get all these songs. Surprising that there isnt a decent site with sheet music for well known music like...

How about a GOOD website that offers drum sheet music?

I feel like the few that I have seen have one song per artist and are so riddled with ads.... welcome to the internet I guess.

Phil Rudd never had a ride in his setup. The music doesnt miss it but most genres of music can benefit from it IMO.

Sounds like you need to just shed whatever is on the set list.

I think a lot of that music has hi hat work that is machine made or at least sounds that way to me.

I am a building contractor and wanna be drummer and a friend of mine may be looking to build a new studio on his property. Separate building dedicated to full band recording/jamming/practice etc....

Not so focused on the cost as much as the sound. Just want that woody "tock" sound and something that will be sensitive and not sound awful when tuned up a bit. Good throwoff would be nice too....
