hmm... try this exercise play RlrrLrll for about 4 measures then play just the right hand:
R(1)_r(&)r(a)_r(e)
try to make sure all the unaccented notes sounds exactly the same, for about 4...

Audiotechnica ATH-M30 there 60 bucks and are really really good for the price, better then most multi-hundred dollar head phones.

hahaha final fantasy 10's To Zanarkand is what got me into wanting to play piano. all the music in that series of games well fairly well written and composed. i think it should be more noticed.

just write regular "x"s then just make a note that says open, just off in the margin, thats what i do, i do it all the time for open hats, ride and crashes. or just take the time and write the circle...

from my knowledge it depends on the person and the hands. every ones hand is different and therefore every ones stick will sit a a little differently. im assuming you are a playing palm down style...
