Re: New from Ludwig!
I'm going to lunch with the Ludwig reps in a couple of weeks at NAMM 2011!
I will be returning with a complete photo journal, a la Mike Dolbear!

Re: The expensive drum stigma....
I wouldn't buy that Rudd snare. It's a Chinese piece of crap.
Craviotto makes a nice brass shell. I think it's like 3,000 dollars more, though.

Re: Aydee's got a new snare
Nice purchase. 395 is a good price for that beauty.
I also like how you refer to yourself in the third person in your posts.

Re: Eames Drums
Eames kits are fantastic. Joe really crafts his drums with pride and care.
The mega-thick Master Tone shells project like you wouldn't believe. My friend is the drummer for the Queers, and his...

Re: dw Classics Series
Reference and Masterworks are made in Taiwan, I think.
I have not heard the Jazz Series DW's yet, but I know a few people who I consider "anti-DW" that love the Jazz Series sound compared to the...

Re: Ludwig Classic Maple?
Noble Cooley is a much smaller operation than Ludwig. Nearly all of their kits are custom orders. Same deal with SJC, GMS. All excellent (expensive) drums. They don't need to adjust their...

Stacking Drums During Storage?
Do you think it's bad to stack your drums on top of one another during storage?
I'm thinking maybe it's bad for the bearing edge? I put a piece of plywood over the bass drum rim, but i'm thinking...

Re: Saw Sean Reinert Last Night!
While I'm not real familiar with them, they played some stuff from the 1st album and a bunch of new stuff.
They played the 2 I'm familiar with: Mordecai and the Selksies (?) song there...

Re: Saw Sean Reinert Last Night!
He was awesome, too. Very solid and spot on. The crowd really responded to btbam. He was playing what appeared to be a Superstar Hyperdrive kit.

Saw Sean Reinert Last Night!
I finally got to see Cynic last night in Boston with Devin Townsend (AWESOME) and BTBAM.
Sean absolutely killed it. What an amazing musician. His playing is probably the best I've ever seen. He was...

Re: Awesome Photos of Sonor Factory!
I can't take credit for these...These pics are from a guy named Scott who runs the SonorMuseum.com forum. He recently got back from a tour from Westfalia.

Re: Truth drums or SJC?
I love it when someone asks, "Which brand should I choose, A or B?" and half the responses are "Brand C".
To the original question - SJC offers WAY more finish choices than Truth, and their kits...
