Re: SNARE TUNING

Sorry about that elvis. Well my snare is super buzzy and has a ton of overtone and I can't get it to sound crisp. My toms aren't packing the punch I need them to. Lots of resonance and overtone. Also...

Re: PDP Pacific opinions

Thanks for the advice! I've been getting that same vibe from a lot of people so I'm gonna try it out. Any other suggestions? Like bass drum head, or snare head?

Re: USA Custom or Collector's Series

Thanks man. I know to most I'm just an annoying kid, but you've been super helpful, along with many others. I'm 18 and been drumming since I was 4, but I guess this stuff hasn't ever mattered to me...

Any reccomendations on snare, cymbals, heads, pedals, and anything else...

Re: PDP Pacific opinions

About a year and a half ago I bought a brand new X7 kit. It was the first kit I actualyly bought (my last Tama Swingstar was given to me). It seems to be a really great kit but I'm having trouble...

Re: THE DRUM MODIFICATION THREAD.

Any of y'all dealt a PDP X7 (8,10,12,14,16,22,14x5)? Any tips on what I can do to really make those guys sing? I still have the original kit snare as well... It sucks, but I don't have the dough for...

Re: SNARE TUNING

I play twice a week at the church I go to. The kit is a Pearl forum series, and I don't like it at all. Anyone have any ideas who have played in that setting on ideas for tuning, heads, cymbals,...

Re: USA Custom or Collector's Series

I forgot to add this, but I am also in the beginnings of playing a lot of Latin and Afrocuban groove stuff. It is what my teacher has me playing and I love it, but I feel like my kit isn't the right...

Re: USA Custom or Collector's Series

I meant the number of drums. It is nice because I can change out the toms for different sounds, but I don't wanna buy a seven piece DW or Gretsch. That would be 6 grand. Haha but I do really enjoy...

USA Custom or Collector's Series

My drum kit is a PDP X7 and, not gonna lie, it's a really nice drum kit for a beginner/intermediate player. However, I feel that my style of play doesn't match that kit anymore because it has changed...
