i play a wrapped snare because it seems to kill the overtones. and i play with non wrapped toms and kick for resonence. most of it i think is tuning, heads and hardware set up than wrapped or not.

I have played that snare before. its a great sounding snare. im not real familiar with what funk sounds like. but that snare will definently suit your needs.

i was naturally left foot independent. but i practice to keep it up to snuff by playing rock beats and single beats that i would usually play with my right foot with my left foot. helps alot.

mapex factory in tennessee

I just found out that the Mapex USA factory is about 7 miles up the road from my new house in Nashville. has anyone ever been there? im going to call them up and ask if i can get a tour.

its a 2006 or 2007 i think. they dont make that set up anymore but you can still find the rock set ups which are basicly the same thing.
