Re: Yamaha absolute best deal?

Definately the cheaper option but I'm currently playing a Ludwig epic pro beat kit and don't know if I would want to keep using that or at some point just try and go for my dream kit, which would be...

Re: Yamaha absolute best deal?

Thanks for quick reply, not sure about the 22x20 myself. Have never played a bass that size before, depth might be a bit overkill. Currently using a 24x14 bass drum which is amazing, big low sound...

Have loved the musashi 13x6.5 since I first tried one a few years ago in a shop but recently heard a good clip of a Yamaha 13x6.5 brass which I think sounded superb but haven't played one. I know the...

Re: Yamaha Drums

Hey all

Just want to know if the hook lug on the absolute series is more expensive than absolute lug and is it more expensive to go hybrid with, for example, birch toms and maple floor toms and...

Re: Yamaha snare drum question

i've heard good things about guru. Seen some of their drums and they look really sweet. Had been toying with the idea of getting a drum from Tiki drums. Have also thought about wood hoops for a...

Re: Yamaha snare drum question

Was just checking the pictures again and just noticed something, have you put lug locks or an equivalent on the tension rods?

Re: Yamaha snare drum question

My concern is not so much about the strainer angle as i didn't think it would affect it too much if any but more so to do with uneven pressure on the reso head. Not wanting dents or to go through...

Re: Help with Drum Hardware, Cymbals

Think hardware has been covered pretty well here at the mo, just grab what you can as long as it fits basically.
As for cymbals i would have to recommend (if this is purely for studio) Zildjian...

Re: Question : Ludwig Epic Series Shell Pack

Defo agree with that, love my epic drums but they don't seem to be getting as much recognition as they deserve. Think most people in Britain are going for either yamaha stage customs or Tama...

Re: Ludwig Epic drums

I found that with the stock heads the 10" sounded good but the rest not that great so swapped out all the tom batter heads with EVANS EC2s. I had never tried these heads before, normally i would go...
