Re: STICK CONTROL (george L stone) your experiences and suggestions

I got this book a few weeks ago and have been working out of it alot. I've devised my own little practice method with it (certainly not as in depth as the one listed on page 1 of this thread) but I...

Re: Review Educational Video: Wreckl's "Back to the Basics"

This movie is not aimed solely at beginners. Weckl's foot technique suggested to play both heels up, not one up one down. His solos are not without tempo. Did you actually take a metronome and match...

Re: double kick help

You're playing too fast. Play slow. Ridiculously slow if need be. You're not going to be able to get yourself up to 150bpm if you can't play 90bpm yet. Start very slow and gradually work your way up.

Re: Neil Peart

I just want to add that "Test For Echo" is my favorite Rush song, because of Neil's playing in it. Lot's of great stuff in that song.

Re: Carter Beauford

DMB's live stuff is amazing. Much better than the studio stuff.

The Central Park Concert is my favorite. You can get a 6-dics package from "The Gorge" which is just alot of music, and alot of...

Re: Carter Beauford

Did they have a good setlist (not that any DMB setlist is bad)?

What songs did they play? Were you lucky enough to catch a Carter solo (I'm guessing prob. not).

Number 26 is what he...

Re: 1st post! Tell me... who are your heros?

Carter Beauford is my favorite drummer, and the one who influences me the most (probably because DMB is my favorite band).

There are several others, but mainly Carter.

Re: Things you hate to have happen while drumming

Having the bass drum begin to slide away from you as you hit it in the middle of a song.

Re: Vinnie Colauita

I am fairly certain that Vinnie is somehow related to God.
