One photo I've found.

That should end that craze pretty soon!

Re: Can a very (!) cheap drumset sound ok..?

I don't think you'd get away with that in a live situation!! however it would be...

Re: Need some help choosing a snare.

First of all (if you're able to) I'd recommend going to a shop and testing out some snares in person, you might find something within your price range you love.

However, I'll also echo what others...

Re: I wish I didn't care when I was younger

To be fair, it's either a relaxed outlook OR a serious case of stupid.

Re: Flaw in Green Glass Glitter finish

Is there a reduced cost to this kit? Or are they selling it without the issue associat to the cost?

If not you might be able to haggle over the price, if you can live with that of course.

Re: Flaw in Green Glass Glitter finish

Re: I wish I didn't care when I was younger

Iíve never tended to worry about my playing, back in my youth or even now. Even as a teen I was worrying more so if what I was playing was tasteful as opposed to how fast I played it. Iíve always...

Re: Does anyone actually do gigs with large bass drums any more?

I mostly only use backline drums at gigs, they always seem to be 22” inches but outside of that I’d absolutely use my own 24” as opposed to my 22”.

It’s perfect for the music I play. Mostly...

Re: Passing On Experience

I've stressed this many times before and I will many times more.

Protect your hearing.

It's really not uncool or not 'Rock and Roll to use hearing protection.

Re: How did you start getting "loose" on difficult fills?

What works for me when I'm struggling to get something I slow it down outside of its normal environment and really understand the mechanics of the part(s) so I completely 'get' it.

I think if you...

Re: Have you ever have someone in the audience tells you your playing a song wrong?

Not for me as I'm in originals bands so the parts aren't 'wrong' (not saying that they are 'right' though!)

However, I have had a band member tell me I'm playing a song wrong, a song that has no...

Re: If you could educate the public about one thing concerning drumming/percussion, what would it be

Exactly

There are a few boutique hearing protection companies these days so hopefully people are more frequently buying them. Seems to be more popular, which is great to see.

Just as important...

All I can really add is when I'm thinking of beats without any influence from anything else (pretty much every minute of the waking day) I have a bpm of around 90 in my head....

Re: If you had a drum tech, would it change your set-up?

I’d love a drum tech. The reason? It would give me someone to talk/geek out about drums with all day when with the band.

Man, I’d love that.

Wouldn’t change my setup also. Tend to use what I...
