His is wrapped.
They look like this (second pic) when naked.

Re: Pearl Short Fuse finish type?

My mistake. I apologize.
I do not know how the wrap is attached on that snare drum.
Or if it is painted.
Good luck sir.

Re: Pearl Short Fuse finish type?

Sir,
Too much work to take apart, remove glue and refinish, then put back together.
Spend your time drumming instead.
Believe me I know.
My advice is not to "roll with the wood underneath."
Get...

Hi Frank, The guys are correct.
It is very costly to replace lugs and rods on a kit.

Re: Once upon a time in the West - Pro Longed Hat Beat

Another approach is to not play the hat notes when you hit the snare and bass drum.
They kind of cancel out the sound of the hats anyway.
Do a kind of Gadd linear beat and the hat notes will go...

Re: One handed 16th note grooves- ghost note question

[QUOTE=porter;1391053]Elaborate, please. What do you mean buy "one handed 16th note grooves"?

Re: First deep snare drum

The bigger the diameter of the snare,
The lower the pitch.
I have a 8x14 Blaemire.
It does not want to go to a lower than a normal depth snare.
My 5.5x16 Pearl FG snare goes very fat and low.
Of...
