Re: Gretsch Catalina Maple Fusion

I did this as well and must say that it really transformed the snare drum into something 1000x better. I have put away my Pork Pie snare drum for the time beung, I just can't get enough of the cat...

Re: Single Pedal quads

In that case, yes. I'm sure there's some way of doing it without slamming your toes into the chain, but that's how I do it, and it works well for me. This technique might be difficult to do on a...

Re: Single Pedal quads

I can't even do doubles with shoes on, and what do you mean by "must your foot be underneath the chain thing?"

Re: Single Pedal quads

I might do this, but it's not really that complicated. All I really do is slam my foot across the footboard in a way where my heel hits, then toe, then heel, then toe.

Re: HeelToe Question (Not Technique)

Heel toe is useful if you play single pedal, but I can't see it being that great if you play double. I play single pedal and it has affected my playing a lot, but I couldn't see myself using it that...

Ordering from musiciansfriend in canada

I plan on getting a Roc-N-Soc throne but from what I've seen, thrones are ridiculously expensive at Long & McQuade. I don't know how much Roc-N-Soc thrones are there (if you know, please tell me) but...

Re: New to Punk Drumming and Playing Fast

Hahaha, that's actually the main reason that I didn't get a double pedal last summer.

SINGLE PEDAL FTW!

Removing stickers from cymbals.

I just got a new crash (16" k custom hybrid) and I need to find a good way to remove the price sticker off of it without leaving sticker gunk. How do you do it?

Thanks

My tom sounds dead

I just got a gretsch catalina maple and love it, but my right tom sounds very dead and I can't get it to ring. I've tried retuning it many times but it just won't ring. I'm assuming it's the head (I...

Re: Improving your single bass playing

Are you just using heel toe?

Also, do you have any tips on doing heel toe with your heel off of the pedal?

Re: Future of Drums and Drumming.

I haven't read through the whole thing and I'm not sure if somebody already said this but I don't see how drummers or any other instrumentalist will ever be replaced by technology. People don't go to...

Re: Funny/weird things that happened when drumming?

One time while I was practicing, I broke a stick and the tip hit one of my rack tome, bounced back, and hit me in the head.

Re: Hi-hat vs. ride

Its hi hats for me. I probably play them 60% of the time, but it really depends on what style of music I'm playing. I play mostly punk so I use the hi hats most of the time, but I hardly ever use my...
