i've played his snare drum in the drum centre...

it has a nice response and sounds exactly as it does on the album (if you like the sound on the album...)

try and have a look at Dave Wekl's finger technique, if you practice that, it should take most of the energy use off your arms, coz you'll get tired if you try and use your arms too much, i know....
